As a Reiner, I never needed a back cinch. When I entered the cow world that changed. But the back cinch seemed more of an obstruction than any type of help. I couldn’t cue the horse correctly to move the hips. It was frustrating. My spur continued to get stuck in the buckles or my spur hit the cinch and the horse never got the cue. This was not working for me at all. And I discovered when talking with other trainers this was a common problem and unavoidable aggravation. This spurred in me a desire to find a solution. 14 prototypes, and 4 years later we designed a new and vastly improved solution, a smarter back cinch that allowed me to ride and train without hassle and complication. The horse could now receive my cues and my spurs no longer were stuck and ineffective.
