Nepotism babies are clearly having a moment, and now two members of that exclusive club are commenting on their experiences as daughters of fame.

Given the national discourse of who's related to whom in politics, Hollywood and the art world, it's perhaps no surprise that when two celebs with famous families sat down to chat—in this case, Gwyneth Paltrow's new appearance on Hailey Bieber’s YouTube series Who’s in My Bathroom?—the subject inevitably came up.

Bieber, who comes from the Baldwin family of actors (Stephen Baldwin is her father, Alec, her uncle) had Paltrow on the show to demo a mint chocolate chip smoothie (made with protein powder, dates, almond butter, and unsweetened hemp milk, natch). However, in the process, they wound up discussing Bieber's relatives in the entertainment industry—Paltrow shares that she did a movie with Alec Baldwin early in here career—and how Paltrow found her way into acting through her mother, actress Blythe Danner.

"As the child of 'somebody', you get access that other people don't have. The playing field is not level in that way," Paltrow said before suggesting that she had to work "twice as hard" as someone without her connections. "However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door, which you unfairly got in, then you have to work almost twice as hard and be twice as good, because people are ready to pull you down and say 'You don’t belong there' or 'You are only there because of your dad or your mom.'"

She added, "It shouldn't limit you because what I really believe is that nobody in the world, especially anybody that doesn't know you, should have a negative impact on your path or the decisions that you make."
