Despite his dad and Angelina Jolie making the decision to end their three-year marriage almost 20 years ago, Billy Bob Thornton’s son Henry James Thornton says that he and Angelina Jolie remain close to this day and even still exchange gifts.

Henry revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he and his former step-mom are still very much in touch. “To this day, she still sends me Christmas gifts every year and stuff like that,” he said. “I don’t talk to her on the phone every day but every now and then we talk.” Harry is Thornton’s son from his prior marriage to his fourth wife, Playboy model Pietra Dawn Cherniak, which lasted from 1993 to 1997. He and Jolie were married from 2000 to 2003 after they met and fell in love on the set of the 1999 film Pushing Tin. Jolie was also recently separated from her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, whom she eloped with to Las Vegas after meeting him on the set of the 1995 film Hackers.

Before their breakup, Henry added that Jolie was always coming up with fun, new ways to keep him and his brother William Thornton entertained. “She took us camping every week and she rented, like, an RV one time, and we went on a full camping trip,” he said, calling the actress “so cool.” He added, “She was just so fun for us back when we were younger. She was a lot of fun.”

Following the split, Jolie went on to start dating Brad Pitt in 2004 after they met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The couple, who share six kids, finally married in 2014 only to separate two years later. Billy Bob is currently married to his sixth wife, Connie Angland, whom he married in 2014, and has four children, including Harry, from his previous relationships.
