[Krista] When did you first meet Judd?

Probably, uh, 17 years ago at Garry Shandling's house.

He was cleaning the kitchen.

I asked him to bring me orange juice and he did,

so I immediately liked him.

[Krista] When did you realize that you could

make a career out of your writing, your humor,

your acting, when did that moment happen for you?

Well, I don't think you ever know you can

make a career until you do.

I think you make a decision early on that you're

willing to, sort of, sleep in the street

because you don't wanna do anything else.

It may take a lot of years to actually make

enough money to call it a career,

but I think it's more of a decision

that you're gonna do this no matter what.

So, I think that happened when I was young.

[Krista] And do you have uh,

a comedic influence that you can point to?

Well, my father and uh,

Jack Benny was probably my greatest influence.

[Krista] And how has it been working with Judd?

Terrific.

[Krista] No complaints?

I registered some with the union.

You can read it on their website.
