Rumours for this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestants are rife after bosses confirmed the show would be returning to Wales.

The ITV series will once again take place at Gwrych Castle in Abergele due to the "continued uncertainty" around Covid-19 and international travel.

But one celebrity who won't be taking part in this year's show is television presenter Denise Van Outen, reports The Mirror.

While Denise is keen to take part in the show at some point, the 47-year-old has said it "has to be in Australia" and not Wales before she'll give it a shot.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I do get asked to do it [I'm A Celeb] but there is no chance I can do it this year because I am at Proud [performing in a variety show].

"I will do it at some point. I think I'm A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.

"But it has to be Australia for me, not Wales - as much as I love the Welsh. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest."

Denise is no stranger to competing on TV shows, having most recently taken part in Dancing On Ice before a shoulder injury forced her to pull out.

She's also featured on Strictly Come Dancing and got to the semi-finals of The Masked Singer as the Fox.

Currently, Denise is wowing fans with her scintillating performances at London's Proud Cabaret Embankment.

"I absolutely love it," Denise said of her performances.

Denise made her West End breakthrough in a role in Chicago in 2001 before the show hit Broadway the following year.

And her love of the stage enticed her to join the Proud Cabaret line-up in March last year.

The variety show which she hosts and curates originally saw her perform alone, but she is now able to have performers join her - something she says keeps her on her toes.
