24 Hours in: Lowestoft, Suffolk - Weekendr enjoys Lowestoft

We love Lowestoft. But we would say that, we live here. It may be argued that we're a bit biased - the long sandy beaches for summer day. The Norfolk Broads for day in a canoe. Winter coastal walks. "Flat" landscape just begging for a bike ride. We're lucky enough to have it all. But you don't have to just take my word for it, Weekendr has just published an article called "24 Hours in: Lowestoft, Suffolk", and they too sing the praises of our east coast town.

More than just the beaches

As a local, I thought I had a fairly good handle on what is going on in my home town. After reading the Weekendr article though, I realised there's always something new to learn. For starters, I wasn't aware of quite how upmarket The Tramway Hotel had become!

Come and stay in Lowestoft

Should you fancy trying one of pizzas at Desmonds, or sampling the custard tart with nutmeg ice cream as pictured in Weekendr, you certainly have a good choice of places to stay. Weekendr mentions the B&B Baytree House in North Lowestoft. .

Other holiday cottage you may wish to look at for your holiday include Well Cottage in Corton or The Beech House in Corton - 2 miles north of Lowestoft.

Or, how about Gunton Lodge in Oulton Broad - which has 100 foot of water frontage. Gunton Lodge is also 2 miles from Lowestoft.
