Man Found Dead on Hartshorne Woods Park Trail
The 67-year old man apparently died from a medical event, said police.
A man apparently died during a hike at Hartshorne Woods Park on Wednesday afternoon, Middletown Police Detective Lt. Stephen Dollinger said.
William Bennett, 67, of Viola Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middlletown, was found by a bicyclist on the Grand Tour Trail of the park, just over the Rumson border in the Locust section of Middletown, at about 3:30 p.m.
The investigation by police determined that Bennett was hiking along the trail when he suffered some sort of a medical episode which resulted in his death.
