FACE FACTS

simple cleansing wipes

What is your beauty routine?
In the morning I use Simple Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash; in the evening, Champneys eye make-up remover, Dermalogica cleanser and toner, and Olay Beauty Fluid. After a show I use Simple facial wipes (right).

Your make-up bag heroes?
I’m a showgirl so lots! Mac concealer – nothing covers blemishes better; Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation; Le Blanc de Chanel, which I use under foundation for a dewy glow; the Body Shop Waterproof Mascara – the best I’ve ever used; Chanel bronzing powder, and Clinique ginger lipgloss.

Do you highlight your eyes or lips?
Eyes – I make them smoky and glamorous using Dior Style Liner, a really intense black.

Your fail-safe beauty fix?
Brushes from the Make-Up Brush Company.

Desert island essentials?
Tweezers, concealer and mascara.

Who is your beauty icon?
I want to look as glamorous as Helen Mirren [below] when I’m older.

Would you have plastic surgery?
I don’t know. Although it’s nice to see expression lines without Botox.

LITTLE LUXURIES

What makes you feel glamorous?
Ben de Lisi’s clothes are elegant and easy to wear.

Your signature scent?
Dior Addict. I was working with Alistair McGowan [in They’re Playing Our Song], and he noticed I had changed my perfume and said, ‘Oh, but the other one is so you.’

BODYWORK

How do you keep fit?
I go to the Factory Gym in Islington, North London. I use the treadmill and a Power Plate machine for my abs because sit-ups and crunches put too much tension on my neck. I also ride my Brompton folding bike.

Do you have a tip for body confidence?
Good posture – head held high, chest out, bum tucked away and belly pulled in.

Your favourite body treatment?
I go to Physio Ed Medical in London’s Harley Street for a firm massage.

EATS AND TREATS

What kind of diet suits you best?
I like porridge for breakfast. I try to avoid eating carbs after 5pm if I’m doing a show or I won’t have time to digest my food.

Your slimming secret?
I try to eat low GI foods if I want to lose weight.

Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream

CHILLING OUT

How do you relax?
I watch reality TV. I need Sky Plus so I can record things.

Your ultimate escape?
I love walking on the beach in Carmarthenshire, where my family live, with my black labrador Ben.

Your feel-good mantra?
Have a sing-song – music always keeps me going.
