For some people, summer isn't about jetting off on holiday or sunbathing in the park, it's about Pride – where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate just how far the LGBT+ community has come.

Also, it's a great excuse to get absolutely hammered, dowsed in glitter and enjoy performances from your favourite mid-Noughties pop acts who wouldn't put a dent in the charts nowadays.

Openly gay Hollyoaks star and former CBBC presenter Andrew Hayden-Smith was one of the revellers who went down to last weekend's Brighton Pride, and an Instagram photo he shared of him kissing boyfriend Dan Maton is proving pretty popular with fans:

We're not sure what it is about this photo that has got people all hot under the collar.

Is it the two topless men, tanned and toned from hours in the gym, locking lips with each other – or is it the ice cream van in the background subliminally making us feel like we need to cool down?

Hayden-Smith's Hollyoaks character, DS Armstrong, seemingly left the show earlier this week as mysterious newcomer Milo Entwistle managed to get rid of him with some incriminating photos.

Is that the end of the character though? Armstrong is still one of the biggest suspects in the ongoing whodunnit mystery, and if our sources are anything to go by, he's still got a part to play.
