A DISPERSAL Order has been put in place for a large part of Flintshire this weekend. 

The order will cover the entire Flintshire North Policing District and will be in place from 5pm on Sunday (December 10) until 5am on Monday (December 11. 

Shotton, Connah's Quay, Holywell and Flint are all included. 

Police say the dispersal order is in place to prevent anti-social behaviour and anti-social driving following information regarding planned events in the area.

As well as the dispersal order, officers will be conducting stops for Op Limit - the national Drink and Drug Drive Campaign. 

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "On Sunday 10th December 2023 from the hours of 5pm to 5am (17:00 – 05:00) Monday 11th December 2023 a Dispersal Order has been put in place to cover the whole of the Flintshire North Policing District.

"This area is defined by the map in the picture attached and runs from Mancot/Pentre to the Talacre area and includes the areas in between.

"This is to prevent any anti-social behaviour including driving. This is due to information received that events are planned within this area. Our local officers will be out enforcing this power should It be needed.
