You remember Neville Longbottom, right? Poor sweet innocent Neville from Harry Potter, a series of films that will simply never be taken off ITV as long as there is power in the National Grid.

In the books, Neville is portrayed as a wimp, and his discovery of a backbone is one of the series most charming little arcs.

But JK Rowling left one detail out of the texts that filmmakers across the years have thankfully rectified: by the end, Neville is hot.

Matthew Lewis has become quite the heartthrob since debuting in Harry Potter

Yes, it's true. While you might not have looked at 11-year-old Matt Lewis and pictured him as a model-esque heartbreaker (that would be weird!!!!!) the truth is Matt did in fact grow up to be good looking - and quite frankly good for him.

Matt is 32 now but was between 20-22 during the filming of the final two films, The Deathly Hallows, which are both being shown on ITV2 this weekend.

He was a modest youth, as we learned in The Telegraph, to whom he once said: "As far as I was aware, nobody knew who I was. But there were all these people shouting, 'Matthew! Matthew!' I was an 11-year-old kid, and I was thinking, 'How do they know who I am?' It really scared me."

Despite Neville supposedly being a bit of a dorky character, Matt started to "slim out a bit" as he aged through the films, meaning producers had to take drastic measures to keep him in character.

Speaking to the Independent, he said: "When we got to film three, and I'd got quite tall and slimmed out a bit, they decided that they were uncomfortable with that, and thought, 'No, we need to make him a bit geeky looking', or geekier, I should say, so they put me in a fat suit and false teeth."

Reflecting on the period to People, he said: "Being 15 years old in the middle of puberty, having to wear a fat suit. There are girls around; I've got this fat suit on every day. No one knows I'm wearing this damn thing, they all just think I'm fat."
