General views of the picturesque village of Sonning. Sonning is home to roughly 1600 people and has been names as one of the most unspoilt villages in Britain, its famous residents include George and Amal Clooney, Theresa May MP, Jimmy Page and formerly Uri Geller. The best compliment it's ever received comes in Jerome K Jerome's classic Three Men in a Boat where "sweet Sonning" was described as "the most fairy-like little nook on the whole river". Dating back to the Saxon era, the village was mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book as Soninges.
