MAROUANE FELLAINI is being targeted by Turkish club Trabzonspor - as a 50th birthday present!

The Super Lig side will hit their half century in August and Fellaini is considered the perfect man to celebrate it.

Trabzonspor are targeting the Manchester United midfielder for his versatility, according to Milliyet.

United signed Fellaini from Everton in 2013 for a £27.5million fee.

Jose Mourinho has been impressed by the 29-year-old this season, and in January triggered a clause in his contract that keeps him at the club until 2018.

Mourinho said: "He has a very strong mentality and has coped well.

"He knows he is a very important player for me."

Fellaini was rewarded the captain's armband for United's 3-0 win at Sunderland earlier this month.

But the former Everton ace let himself  down in the Manchester derby, when he was needlessly sent off for a headbutt on Sergio Aguero.

Fellaini began his career at Standard Liege before securing a £15m club-record move to Everton in 2008.

After five years at Goodison Park, David Moyes took the 6ft 4in powerhouse with him to Old Trafford.
