Wie Hamites zerfällt auch diese Gattung in mehrere Untergattungen. N

An den verhältnismäßig langen und schmalen Oberkopffedern lassen sich die jungen Vögel leicht als Angehörige der Gattung Catarrhactes erkeimen.
